Cooking oil: What's the best one?
Of all the oils in the world—peanut, olive, vegetable, etc.—what is the best oil to cook with?
In my opinion, canola oil is the perfect oil because it is high in omega-3 fatty acids and is very "heart healthy." Although peanut oil and olive oil are also heart healthy because of their monounsaturated fats, canola oil has both the monounsaturated fats and omega-3s. Moreover, it has a light flavor and works equally well for both baking and sautéing.
