Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI)

The Center for Science in the Public Interest, founded in 1971, is a nutrition advocacy organization working to educate the public about nutrition and health through the internet and their award-winning Nutrition Action Healthletter, the largest circulating health newsletter in the country. The CSPI site itself provides informative articles about topics from alcohol use to food safety to integrity in science. CSPI is involved in scientific research on issues relevant to food, alcohol, health and the environment and utilizes the legal system on all levels to promote and defend public interest. Its findings and results are all posted on its website along with current news, consumer tips, and ways to take action.
