BMI is a measure of body weight relative to height and is often correlated with an individual's body fat content. It is also a good measure of your health risk. According to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute guidelines, a BMI of 25 to 29.9 is considered overweight, while a BMI of 30 and above is considered obese. The higher the BMI, the stronger the risk of serious chronic health conditions. The recommended BMI range is 18.5 to 24.9 and these numbers correspond with lower health risks. Find your BMI to the right by inserting your height in feet and inches, your weight in pounds and clicking the "compute" button. Your BMI will appear in the middle of the heart.
