Day 9
No weight loss yesterday, but not all days can be losers, or winners, I guess. I got into a pair of jeans last night as I read the Sunday paper looking for want ads (it is getting depressing, but I am optimistic). I am trying to schedule some time with a headhunter this week. Anyway, back to the jeans, I have thought they were snug, especially when I was retaining water, but last night, they were a bit loose! This I like! I think I saw my first progress.
I sent in my weekly food diary like I was supposed to. Part of the program is that you track your calories everyday for a week and at the end of the week, you send it in to be reviewed and then they send you an email with recommendations or whatever you need to do to lose weight. I was honest as I could pencil whipped it and not shown the wine or anything like that, but I am trying to follow it religiously to either determine if it doesn’t work, then why not, or let you know how I lost my weight. Either way, I am being as honest as I can. So I got my report back. It was encouraging and positive and supportive, but the support team (barry?) noted that I needed to eat more free foods. I thought I was but here is the quote:
“Great job on week one. This week you are going to face the challenge of sticking to the new routine or falling back to your old habits. To combat the “munchies”, try to eat more free foods, primarily peas, beans, or leafy vegetables and also increase your basics (starches) to get a full feeling so you will increase your odds of not backsliding. Week two is a challenge since you are now as excited and will be a bit less disciplined”
Ok barry, quite looking in my kitchen window. I have already thought I could sneak a twinkie this afternoon.
