eDiets Day 4
Day 4 is here and another pound is shedding away from my belly. I have been all over this diet and have used it to inspire me to workout more and workout harder each day. Today I did a 37 minute cardio workout that burned 615 calories just during the workout. I weighed in before my workout at my week goal of 180 and dropped to 179 after the workout. 179 officially puts me ahead of my ediet plan! This afternoon I am a little tired, but I am using my streak of success to keep me motivated. Given that I have made it through the first 4 days of the workweek sticking to the diet to a tee, I should be able to make it through the weekend. Tomorrow may be a challenge since I have a happy hour with friends to attend, but I hope my will power will win out if I order something healthy and get full before my friends order the fatty fried foods and beer. If I am full, then I wont lose my discipline and just eat bad out of necessity. Momentum is VERY important for my mental attitude and staying on track all week and seeing the rewards could propel me another whole week. Speaking of positive momentum, in preparation for changing my lifestyle to be more healthy, I gave up all soda, tea, and coffee this year. Slowly I weaned back my consumption of these ever present caffeine boosted drinks and then decided to just quit them entirely. The acid and caffeine in those drinks changes the way my stomach feels and makes it hard to limit my eating. So far, I have not had any of the "bad drinks" in over two months. This is saying a lot since at one point in my life I used to drink a full 2 liter of diet coke every day! If I can do it, so can you!
